Scholarships

The scholarship for outstanding students

The scholarship for outstanding students is awarded for one academic year in the amount of up to 100% refund of tuition fee to Bachelor, Master’s or Doctoral level students with good academic results, who are prospective, outstanding and socially active, and who enrich the learning experience of the fellow students.

Criteria for bachelor’s students:

  • Reflection paper on the following topic (max 1 A4): How have I enriched the learning experience of the fellow students and what value have I created to EBS?
  • 2 references from fellow students (provide only names)
  • 2 references from lecturers (provide only names)

Criteria for master’s students:

  • GPA min 4.0
  • Reflection paper on the following topic (max 1 A4): How have I contributed extra to EBS?

 

In order to apply, you need to send documents (in language of your programme) to karmen.harju@ebs.ee  by 21 June 2021 the latest. Scholarships are awarded by 1 July 2021 the latest.

State Scholarship for Students with Difficult Economic Standing

State scholarship for students with difficult economic standing is meant for matriculated students who are Estonian citizens or residence permit holders. This scholarship is meant for students whose monthly income per person in one family is less than 468 euros. Bachelor and Master students who are matriculated since study year 2013/14 have the possibility to apply for this scholarship, which is based on students economic standing and its purpose is to cover the expenses related to studying in an university. Needs-based special allowance

Since the spring semester of 2014/2015 academic year, the students, whose previous income has exceeded the limit of the needs-based study allowance, but it has been decreased significantly lately, are able to apply for need-based special allowance (135 EUR per month). The application must be submitted to the higher education institution of the respective student.

 

The Scholarship of the City of Tallinn

The aim of this Scholarship is to support and acknowledge master’s and doctoral students who are successful in their studies and research and whose master’s or doctoral thesis or research paper addresses a topic related to the fields of activity of the City of Tallinn as a local government, has an applicable value for the city, and contributes to the solution of a problem the City of Tallinn is facing. State Scholarship for international students

Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and Education and Youth Board offer scholarships to foreign nationals, pursuant to bilateral intergovernmental or inter-ministerial agreements concluded with other countries.

The scholarship supports foreign students in their studies at the Estonian higher education institutions. The scholarship can be applied for by the foreign students who wish to study at a higher education institution in Estonia during the 2021/2022 academic year at formal studies or as an exchange student. The scholarship supports master’s and PhD studies in all fields. In the first stage of higher education, the scholarship can only be applied for fields that are related to Estonian language and culture.

Deadline for degree and exchange study scholarship for all level is 1st September.

The Baltic-American Freedom Foundation invites to apply for internship scholarships in the USA

The application period has started for the Baltic-American Freedom Foundation (BAFF) internship scholarships. Participation in the programme provides university students and high school graduates with the possibility to spend a maximum of 1 year in the USA to undergo internship in one of the country’s leading companies or organizations.
