There are 3 types of courses in the curriculum: compulsory, elective and optional.
A compulsory course is a course that must be passed in order to complete the curriculum.
An elective is a course from the list of fixed courses in the curriculum that must be passed in the required amount.
An optional course is a course freely chosen by the student from any curriculum and that is not a compulsory course of the student’s own curriculum. Optional courses may also be taken from other universities. Students have to take optional courses at least in the amount set by the curriculum. If a student wishes to enroll in optional courses in addition to the nominal semester course plan that does not include any optional courses, the student must pay extra for those ECTS based on the credit point price list.
Course workload is measured in credits and 1 European credit point (ECTS) equals 26 hours of work (both classroom and independent work).
